Dr. Shireen Sidhu is widely respected among the academic community for her range and depth of dermatological expertise. She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and the Royal College of Physicians (London), and a Member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the South Australia Salaried Medical Officers Association, the Australasian Dermatopathology Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Sidhu maintains close ties with the South Australian medical community by serving as Head of the Dermatology Unit and Visiting Medical Officer in Dermatology at Royal Adelaide Hospital. She also holds a Clinical Senior Lecturer position with her alma mater, the University of Adelaide School of Medicine. She has been the Principal Investigator in several worldwide multicentre trials involving various skin disorders. Her previous roles include Director of Training for South Australia (2009 – 2012).
With a particular interest in skin lymphomas and melanomas including other skin cancers, she has setup a multidisciplinary clinic in Cutaneous Lymphoma and heads the Dermatology section of the New Melanoma Service at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In addition, she has substantial experience in the management of other skin conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, rosacea, and hyperhidrosis among others.
As a practicing dermatologist, distinguished lecturer, active clinician and lead author of a number of publications, Dr. Sidhu personifies the ideal of the multi-faceted, well-rounded Investigator.
