Dr. Carsten Hamann
Dermatologist
Carsten R. Hamann MD PhD is a board-certified dermatologist and co-owner of Saguaro Dermatology. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine and Core Faculty at the Honor Health Dermatology Residency.
He completed his undergraduate degree at Calvin College and went on to obtain his medical degree at Loma Linda University. After graduation, he attended the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, where he received his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health and Epidemiology with a focus on risk factors and comorbidities of atopic dermatitis.
Dr. Hamann completed his Dermatology residency at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he was the Chief Resident from 2020 – 2021 and the Assistant Chief Resident of Research from 2018-2020. Dr. Carsten R. Hamann is a co-author of 3 textbook chapters on rubber allergy and metal allergy, has authored more than 57 peer-reviewed publications, and has lectured nationally and internationally on inflammatory skin disease such as atopic dermatitis and skin allergy.
