Dr. Lawrence Cheung specializes in medical dermatology and has an interest in eczema and psoriasis. He completed a fellowship in psoriasis and phototherapy under Dr. John Koo at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) back in 2002. Dr. Cheung is proud that his clinic (Synergy Dermatology) is one of the few clinics in the Bay Area that offers both narrow band UVB phototherapy and excimer laser treatment for photo-responsive skin diseases. He currently treats eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, granuloma annulare, and mycosis fungoides via these treatment modalities.
Dr. Cheung has been conducting clinical trials since 2000. He has completed over 20 research trials in the areas of plaque psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
