Vandana K. Madkan, MD, FAAD

Dr. Vandana Madkan is currently the owner and staff dermatologist at Mosaic Dermatology in Beverly Hills, California where she focuses on medical dermatology and clinical trials.  She previously worked at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine.  While there, she oversaw UCLA’s psoriasis clinic and earned a teaching award celebrating her contribution to resident teaching.  Prior to her work at UCLA she was a Staff Dermatologist and a Principal Investigator for Clinical Studies at the Dermatological Association of Texas and Center for Clinical Studies in Houston.

Dr. Madkan is well published in professional dermatology literature including numerous articles in journals such as: The Archives of Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) and is also the author of several textbook chapters.

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Madkan received her undergraduate education at Emory University after which she completed her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia.  The remainder of her medical training took her through an internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland and Baltimore VA Medical Centers, a clinical research fellowship in virology, psoriasis and sexually transmitted diseases at the Center for Clinical Studies in Houston, and a residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center where she served as chief resident in her final year.
