Statin Intolerance Cardiovascular Disease Study

This study will assess whether administration of an oral investigational medication reduces the risk of major cardiovascular events in patients with, or at high risk for, cardiovascular disease who are unable to tolerate statin therapy.

Patients aged 18-85 years old may qualify to receive investigational medication (active drug or placebo). Length of participation may vary but is expected to be about 45 months. Study participants will visit the study centre about 11 times and have about 6 phone visits during this period.
