Research Trial for Atopic Dermatitis (34 Weeks)

Females and males aged 18+ with a diagnosis of chronic atopic dermatitis (AD) for at least 1 year, may qualify to participate.  Individuals must have moderate to severe disease, with AD that affects ≥ 10% body surface area. A documented history (within the past 6 months) of inadequate response to topical medications for AD (for at least 4 consecutive weeks), or who have required systemic therapies for control of their disease within the past year, is also required.

Participants will receive investigational oral medication (active study drug) with a placebo injection, or approved therapy via injection with a placebo tablet.  Study medication and study-related care will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses will also be provided. Standardized background topical therapy will be permitted, with further guidance.

Study participation will last about 34 weeks and involve about 10 visits to the study centre, plus 2 phone visits.
