Research Study for Facial Lines (12 Months)

Lateral canthal lines (LCL) are horizontal smile lines that form at the outside corners of the eyes, while glabellar lines (GL) are deep furrows or frown lines that form between the eyebrows. Adults who are 18 years of age or older may qualify to participate, if they meet the following criteria:

  • Bilaterally symmetrical moderate to severe LCL at maximum smile (same grade on both sides of the face as assessed by both the study doctor and participant)
  • Moderate to severe GL at maximum frown (as assessed by the study doctor only)
  • Sufficient visual acuity without the use of eyeglasses (contact lens use acceptable) to accurately assess their facial lines

Participants will receive investigational medication (active study drug) or placebo, via injection. Study medication and study-related care will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided.

Study participation will last approximately 12 months and involve about 16 visits to the study centre. Additional visits may be required if re-treatment is necessary.
