Pediatric and Adult Atopic Dermatitis Study (68 Weeks)

Children and adults 2 years of age or older with a clinical diagnosis of atopic dermatitis (AD), may qualify to participate. Individuals must be AD treatment naïve, prior non-responders to emollient use, or previously treated with topical corticosteroids or topical calcineurin inhibitors. AD involvement of 5% or more of the treatable body surface area is required, along with mild or moderate disease severity.

Participants will receive crisaborole ointment (active study drug) during the run-in period. Either crisaborole ointment (active study drug) or placebo will then be received during the maintenance period. Study medication and study-related care will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses will also be provided.

Study participation will last up to 68 weeks and involve about 17 visits to the study centre.  In addition, 4 visits will occur by phone.
