Eczema Trial Testing Oral Medication

Adults 18 years of age or older with eczema (atopic dermatitis) for at least 1 year, may qualify to participate. Individuals must have moderate to severe disease, involving at least 10% of their body surface area. A history (within 6 months) of inadequate response to treatment with medicated topical therapy, or who have required systemic therapies for control of their eczema, is also required.

Participants will receive investigational oral medication (active study drug), an active comparator via injection or placebo. Topical emollient will need to be applied to the skin, throughout the course of the study. Study medication and study-related care will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided.

Study participation will last about 28 weeks and involve about 10 visits to the study centre.
