Adolescents and adults aged 12 years and older who have been suffering from CSU – chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives), may qualify to participate in this study. To be eligible, participants must have itch and hives present for 6 consecutive weeks or more despite use of antihistamines, and have a CSU diagnosis for 6 months or longer.
Participants will receive investigational medication (active study drug), an active comparator or placebo via injection. Investigational medication will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided.
Study participation will last about 16 months and include about 19 visits to the study centre.
