Chronic Hives Research Trial (38 Weeks)

Individuals aged 18 to 80 with a diagnosis of chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives) for 6 months or more, may qualify to participate. Looking for individuals with the presence of itch and hives for 6 consecutive weeks or more, despite treatment with second generation antihistamines. Adults who are anti-IgE naïve or who were previously treated with anti-IgE therapies (a form of treatment for allergic conditions), may be eligible.

Participants will receive one of two investigational medications or placebo, via subcutaneous injection. Investigational medication and study-related procedures will be provided at no cost to qualified participants. Reimbursement for study-related travel expenses will also be provided to qualified particpants.

Study participation will last about 38 weeks and involve about 13 visits to the study centre.
