Children and Adolescent Eczema Research Study (Oral)

Children and adolescents aged 2 to <18 years old with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema), may qualify to participate. Individuals must have a diagnosis of atopic dermatitis for at least 12 months (if ≥6 years old) and at least 6 months (if 2 to <6 years old). Individuals must also have eczema on at least 10% of their body and be at or above the 5th percentile of weight for their age. A documented history of inadequate response to OR history of intolerance to topical corticosteroids (TCS) and topical calcineurin inhibitors (TCNI) is required.

Participants will receive investigational oral medication (active study drug) or placebo, during the research study. There is also a requirement to use a moisturizing cream every day during the course of the research study. Study medication and study-related care will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses will also be provided.

Study participation will last about 2.5 years (129 weeks) and involve up to 20 visits to the study centre.
