CV Disease Study for Overweight Adults

Adults aged 45 and older who have a body mass index (BMI) of 27 kg/m2 or more, may qualify to participate in this study. Individuals must have established cardiovascular (CV) disease as evidenced by one of the following: prior myocardial infarction, prior stroke, OR symptomatic peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Individuals must NOT have a history of type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

Eligible participants will receive investigational medication via injection (active study drug or placebo). Study medication and study-related care will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided.

Study participation could last from 31 to 59 months and include up to 26 visits to the study centre.
