Alopecia Areata Research Trial (32 Weeks)

Adults aged 18 to 65 years old with moderate to severe alopecia areata, may qualify to participate. Individuals must have a definitive diagnosis of alopecia areata with a current episode of scalp hair loss lasting at least 6 months and not exceeding 10 years. Total disease duration greater than 10 years is permitted. At least 50% scalp hair loss due to alopecia areata, is required.

Participants will receive investigational oral medication (active study drug) or placebo, in tablet form. Study medication and study-related procedures will be provided at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related expenses may also be provided.

Study participation will last about 32 weeks and involve about 10 visits to the study centre.
